Here’s our family’s little twist on an old favorite that’s a big hit everywhere we go!
Delicious Chocolate Chip Cookies
3/4 c. pure cane brown sugar 1 t. baking soda
3/4 c. granulated sugar 1/2 t. pure vanilla extract
2 sticks real butter, softened 1/2 t. pure almond extract
2 large eggs, well-beaten 2.5 c. unbleached flour (add a bit more if you like fluffier cookies – another couple of T.’s or so)
1/2 bag milk chocolate chips 1 t. salt
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Blend together eggs, extracts, sugars, butter, salt and soda. Gradually mix in flour. Add choc. chips and mix well. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 6-8 minutes or until edges are golden. Total cost: about $3.50

A little secret: the brownie batter is better than the finished product. It’s a regular treat at our house :-). And yes, chocolate RULES! 🙂
