This quick and easy high-protein breakfast “meal” is perfect for when I don’t want to cook but I want the kids to have a semi-healthy breakfast. We make these babies up in about 5 minutes and serve them with apple slices. And don’t be fooled by their size, they’re super filling!
Peanut Butter Balls
8 T. Pure brown sugar 20 cents
1.5 cups quick oats $1.02
1 c. peanut butter 92 cents
1/2 t pure vanilla 23 cents
1/4 c. almond meal (Trader Joe’s) 31 cents
Total cost: $2.68
Mix all ingredients together thoroughly in a large bowl, and shape into 6 (or 12 smaller) equally-sized balls. The best part is that you get to eat them with your hands! 🙂
